April 16, 1993 The state filed a $3,223 lien against Jenkins Construction for delinquent withholding taxes. The lien was released in June 1993.

May 12, 1994The IRS filed a $27,036 lien against the company for delinquent employment taxes. The lien was released two months later.

Jan. 22, 2013 The state filed a $46,700 lien against Jenkins Construction for delinquent business taxes. The lien was released in October 2013.

July 10, 2014 The state filed a $2,357 lien against the company for delinquent use taxes. The lien was released in October 2014.

2016 Earlier this year, James Jenkins was at risk of losing a Detroit rental property before paying $5,081 in delinquent property taxes, penalties, interest and fees.
