Hosey's history includes bankruptcy, tax debt in two states, and convictions for fraud, theft and soliciting a prostitute.

July 3, 2002 The state of Louisiana filed a $4,263 lien against Hosey for delinquent taxes. The lien was later reduced to $370, which Hosey paid.

February 2005 Hosey filed bankruptcy in Texas. He listed more than $236,000 in liabilities, including $9,000 in income taxes to the IRS.

Hosey’s childhood home in Detroit was abandoned during the bankruptcy.

Oct. 21, 2008 The state of Maryland filed a $1,722 tax lien on Oct. 21, 2008, against Hosey. The lien was released in September 2009.
